A video showing an ostrich roaming the streets of Kerala has gone viral on Indian social media. The footage, recorded on 20 May, shows the bird walking amongst buildings in Aluva in Kochi.
The eyewitness who recorded the video told the BBC that the ostrich belonged to his neighbour, who owns a farm nearby. He said it was captured and brought back shortly after its escape. Ostrich farming is legal in Kerala and can be a profitable business for some.
