Great Britain’s Beth Potter won bronze in the women’s race at the World Triathlon Championship Series in Hamburg.
Potter crossed the line in 55 minutes 31 seconds, just 12 seconds behind gold medallist Cassandre Beaugrand of France.
Fellow Briton Kate Waugh, who will join world champion Potter as part of Team GB for the triathlon event at the Paris Olympics, was fifth.
“The big one is in two and a half weeks, that is the goal for this year,” said Potter.
“I just focus on what I can do. My training has been really good recently but I am confident in myself and in my team.”
In the men’s race, Max Stapley was the fastest of the Britons with a time of 50 minutes 39 seconds only good enough for ninth place.
Australia’s Matthew Hauser won the event with Portugal’s Vasco Vilaca second and Pierre le Corre of France third.
Alex Yee and Sam Dickinson are part of the five-strong Team GB Olympic squad and did not compete.
