President-elect Joe Biden has told reporters “we do not want a guarded border” between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Responding to RTE while answering questions in Delaware, Mr Biden said: “We worked too hard to get Ireland worked out… We’ve just got to keep the border open.”
