A man killed in Knightsbridge has been named as Blue Stevens

A 24-year-old man who died in a stabbing outside a five-star hotel in west London has been named by police as Blue Stevens.

Emergency services were called to the Park Tower Hotel on Seville Street, Knightsbridge, just before 21:30 BST on Wednesday.

Paramedics treated Mr Stevens for knife wounds but he died at the scene, the Metropolitan Police said.

No arrests have been made but officers are working “to establish the circumstances of what happened”, the force added.

Flowers and tributes have been laid at the scene

Mr Stevens was from Yateley, Hampshire. His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Bouquets of flowers, cards and a blue candle have been laid at the scene.

One of the tributes stated: “We are all absolutely devastated without you. You took a piece of my heart with you.”

Another said: “Forever in our hearts. Forever missed” and “May you rest in peace. Pray for the broken-hearted.”

The area near the hotel and adjacent restaurant Nusr-Et, run by Turkish chef Nusret Gokce, aka “Salt Bae” was closed off while police investigated.

The area where the incident happened is generally known for its luxury shopping

Cdr Christina Jessah, who leads policing in the area, said: “Our thoughts remain with Blue’s loved ones following this tragic incident and they continue to be supported by specialist officers.

“They have asked for their privacy as they come to terms with Blue’s death.

“We are working at pace to establish the exact circumstances and advise people avoid speculating while we continue our enquiries.”

Police say they are pursuing various lines of enquiry

A spokesperson for the Park Tower hotel said the incident did not involve any of its guests or staff.

Police have added that they are pursuing various lines of enquiry and the public can expect to see more officers on patrol in the area.

Knightsbridge is generally known for its luxury shopping, multimillion-pound residences and landmarks like Harrods and Hyde Park.
