The Liberal Democrat leader said it was “not easy” to talk about his life experiences after he made a highly personal conference speech about caring for his family.
Sir Ed Davey was being asked about diversity in British politics with several Westminster parties led by white middle-aged men.
He said said his party has more female than male MPs for the first time.
