Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has said that flights to send migrants to Rwanda will take off by spring 2024.
The prime minister’s comments came after the Supreme Court’s ruling that the government’s Rwanda asylum plan was unlawful and that the country was not safe.
Replying to a question from the BBC Politcal editor Chris Mason, Mr Sunak said that a new government treaty will prove that Rwanda is a safe country to send migrants to.
