Nicola Sturgeon: Omicron Covid restrictions were worth it

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has defended her decision to introduce measures such as closing nightclubs to tackle the Omicron wave, with the restrictions set to be lifted from Monday.

Speaking to the BBC’s Sophie Raworth, she said case numbers were “hopefully now.. .very firmly on the downward slope”.
