Beginning from 20 October 2021, the BBC begin to rebrand in phases all of its domestic and international services as well as all physical buildings and other things as part of its 100th anniversary celebration this year. This rebrand included the first corporate logo change since 1997, when Gill Sans was replaced by the corporate BBC Reith font.
The first phase of the rebrand included the rebrand of its main television channels (as well as first rebrand of BBC Three), BBC iPlayer, BBC Sounds, BBC Red Button, BBC Studios, BBC Radio 1, and BBC Radio 1Xtra. Meanwhile, the second (and current) phase of the rebrand that still ongoing from this year (2022) will include rebrand of all BBC radio stations other than Radio 1 and its spinoffs, BBC News department, second rebrand of BBC Three, BBC Children’s channels, international channels, as well as replacement of physical buildings that contained the old BBC logo.
(DISCLAIMER: This video was taken before BBC Three returned to linear television on 1 February 2022, which saw the colour changed from pink to bright green despite the logo remain unchanged)
