It goes without saying that Singapore is a bustling international business centre but it’s also making strenuous efforts to promote itself as a media hub – and in this respect the authorities here have been trying to build up their infrastructure in TV and film production. A big effort is also being made to promote local filmmakers. Talking Movies’ Tom Brook has been here putting together a special programme looking at what many view as a renaissance in Singapore movie-making.
