As immigration is debated along political lines, real lives hang in the balance. In her documentary Voices of the Sea, director Kim Hopkins explores immigration in a rural fishing village in Cuba. At the film’s premiere at the Human Rights Watch Film Festival, I spoke with Hopkins about immigration, Cuba and her experience filming on the island for @BBCWorld Talking Movies.
