I was wrong when dismissed the Helmet in the show as not correct. It was actually based on a real existing kind of helmet called the Illyrian. I still think I was right in saying the helmet wasn’t appropriate for Achillis because it would still be out of place in terms of dates, and because it would still be too open considering Homer actually describes Achilles as being very covered in armour and also because he tells us he loans his armour to his friend Patroclus with the intention of hiding his identity through the helmet, so it had to be closed.
