Prince Henry was the product of a marriage that united the House of Lancaster and the House of York – a union intended to cement the end of the War of the Roses once and for all. But the dynastic struggle was not over, and a rival for the throne soon appeared in the shape of Perkin Warbeck, claiming to be Duke of York and rightful king. This episode follows the dramatic events of Henry’s childhood that were to shape his personality and attitude to kingship, and ultimately take him to the throne.
