Nationwide’s Bernard Falk reports from Gay Meadow – the ground of Shrewsbury Town Football Club – ahead of a big game against Newport County. Lifelong Shrews fan Fred Davies is employed by the Shropshire club as a ball boy. Fred isn’t your typical ball boy, however – he’s 63 years old, and he is entrusted with the unusual but essential task of retrieving errantly struck balls from the nearby River Severn in his trusty coracle.
