King Kevin is gone, long live King Kenny!
Liverpool FC have broken the British football transfer record by signing forward Kenny Dalglish for £440,000 from Glasgow Celtic. Dalglish has been bought using the money Liverpool received from Hamburg for Kevin Keegan, and despite the record fee manager Bob Paisley thinks it represents a good deal for the club.
Dalglish has met club captain Emlyn Hughes and his new teammates, who are preparing to face Liverpool’s great rivals Manchester United in the Charity shield.
