There has been no official news from Ferrari as to whether Carlos Sainz will return to the team this weekend following surgery to remove his appendix two weeks ago.
Sainz, 29, had to be replaced at the last minute by 18-year-old Bearman at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix after he was diagnosed with appendicitis.
The Spaniard did make it into the paddock to watch the race in Jeddah and, on Tuesday, he posted a picture of the Melbourne skyline to his Instagram story.
If Sainz was unavailable to take part in Australia, then reserve driver Bearman could potentially step in again, with the teenager in action in Formula 2 for Prema Racing.
