Great Britain’s Nick Ball will defend his WBA featherweight title against mandatory challenger Brandon Figueroa in his home city of Liverpool on Saturday, 7 February.
The bout against the American will be Ball’s fourth defence of the belt he won by beating Raymond Ford in June 2024.
Ball’s most recent fight was a unanimous points win against Australian Sam Goodman which extended his undefeated run to 23 wins and one draw.
Figueroa, aged 28 like Ball, is a former two-weight world champion with 26 wins, two defeats and a draw in his professional career.
“We are so proud of Nick and what he has accomplished and this is a glamour fight, against a recognised American talent, that he fully deserves to have in his home city,” said promoter Frank Warren.
“Figueroa represents a genuine threat, but we believe Nick has the beating of everyone in the division and he will prove this over time.”
