Georgia Hall won her only major title at the Women’s British Open in 2018
-9 P Tavatanakit (Tha); -8 S Feng (Chn); -7 M Jutanugarn (Tha); -6 C Hull (Eng), A Nordqvist (Swe); -5 L Ko (NZ), G Hall (Eng), J Ko (Kor), I Park (Kor), S Popov (Ger), M Lee (Kor)
Selected others: -4 L Maguire (Ire); -1 B Law (Eng); E S Meadow (NI), M Reid (Eng)

England’s Charley Hull and Georgia Hall remain within four shots of the lead after the second round of the ANA Inspiration to keep them in contention for the first major of the year.

Hull carded a three-under 69 to take a share of fourth on six under par, three shots behind leader Patty Tavatanakit.

Hall, chasing her second major title, is a stroke further behind Hull after a two-under-par second round.

China’s Shanshan Feng remains one shot behind Thailand’s Tavatanakit.

Feng’s bogey-free display on day one drew focus as the 31-year-old former world number one was making her first competitive start in 16 months.

Michelle Wie also impressed on day one after returning to action from injury and the birth of her first child but seven bogeys in round two dragged her overall score back to five over, ensuring she missed the cut.

Earlier on Friday, Ireland’s Leona Maguire moved into a co-share of the lead on six under but the 26-year-old dropped two shots on her closing nine holes to slip back into a tie for 12th.

England’s Bronte Law had started day two on three under par but three bogeys on the back nine saw her drop back to one under.

Mel Reid and Northern Ireland’s Stephanie Meadow are a shot further behind following second rounds of 73.

Jodi Ewart Shadoff narrowly missed the cut after carding two bogeys and a double bogey in her second round to leave her two over par.
