Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin insists the club are taking Bojan Miovski’s future day-by-day after the player opened talks with Girona about a move.
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Pittodrie this summer – with the La Liga side interested in taking Miovski to Spain.
A deal could end up commanding a higher fee than any previous outfield player in Scottish football, outwith the Old Firm, with Girona having qualified for the Champions League this season after finishing third in La Liga last term.
But while Thelin admits the speculation around the forward’s future has been intense, he remains focused on the player’s role in his team for Sunday’s visit of St Mirren.
“It’s a bit more intense this week about speculation, but he is still an Aberdeen player, he is still training with us,” he said.
“We were going through set plays today and he was there. So far we focus on day-by-day and he’s an Aberdeen player.
“He is also trying to focus on that part and that’s important for us also.”
Miovski has scored 44 goals in 96 Dons appearances and been capped 22 times by North Macedonia, netting three times.
