Barcelona’s pre-season friendly against Vissel Kobe on Sunday is back on, with the Catalan giants saying issues with the match’s promoter have been sorted out.

Barca called off the game, which will take place in Tokyo, on Thursday, citing “serious contractual breaches” by the promoter as the reason for the cancellation.

The Spanish champions said they have now “resolved the issues” and flew out to Japan on Friday morning.

Barcelona did not identify the promoter but named Yasuda Group when first announcing the tour.

BBC Sport has contacted Yasuda Group for comment.

Hansi Flick’s side are also scheduled to play K League 1 clubs FC Seoul and Daegu on 31 July and 4 August respectively in Korea.

Marcus Rashford has been named in Barcelona’s 30-man squad for the three-match trip.

The 27-year-old England forward joined the Blaugrana on an initial 12-month loan from Manchester United on Wednesday and the Catalan club have the option of signing him permanently for £30.3m (35m euros) in 2026.

He is the first men’s England international to sign for Barcelona since Gary Lineker in 1986.
