BBC Sport were so happy with last years results (see BBC Sports Personality 2004) that they came back to me and asked me to design a new title sequence. As before we shot the presenters on blue screen. Then I created a graphical 3d representation of the BBC’s famous Television Centre building, where the award ceremony would take place. Later I was given a short edit to treat, to which I rotoscoped each shot, cutting out the main action and giving the background the look of a college of black and white photographs.
