Ihlas Bebou put Hoffenheim ahead with a header after a poor goalkeeping punch.

Haaland, who had two goals disallowed for offside, latched on to a poor defensive pass before racing away and firing home an equaliser.

Dortmund, who sit sixth in the Bundesliga table, have only won one of their past six league games.

Elsewhere, Hertha Berlin’s Luca Netz became the youngest defender to ever score a Bundesliga goal, and the club’s youngest Bundesliga scorer, at the age of 17 years and 274 days. That was the 82nd-minute equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Stuttgart.
