Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has suffered a knee ligament injury whilst on international duty with France.
The 21-year-old injured his right knee in training on Wednesday, following a collision with forward Ousmane Dembele.
A statement from the La Liga club said Camavinga, who has played in every league game so far this season, had torn the lateral collateral ligament.
No time scale has been given for his return.
Carlos Ancelotti’s injury woes continue to mount, as Camavinga becomes the fourth Real player to be sidelined with a knee injury.
On Thursday, winger Vinicius Jr was also forced off with a thigh injury in Brazil’s 2-1 defeat to Columbia.
Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and defender Eder Militao are long-term absentees after undergoing surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament.
Winger Arda Guler, who signed for Real in the summer, is yet to make his debut due to an ongoing knee injury.
Camavinga became the youngest senior France international for 106 years in September 2020, making his debut in a Uefa Nations League victory over Croatia aged 17 years and nine months.
Earlier this month, he extended his contract at Real Madrid to keep him at the club until 2029.
Real are second in La Liga and next play Cadiz on November 26.
