Kings XI Punjab beat Mumbai Indians after two super overs in a thrilling Indian Premier League contest.
Both sides finished on 176-6 after 20 overs and were restricted to five runs each in their first super over.
Mumbai scored 11 in their second super over but Chris Gayle’s six on the first ball of the next over helped the Kings XI win with two balls to spare.
It is the first time since the IPL began in 2008 that two super overs have been needed to settle a match.
Earlier on Sunday, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad after a super over.
That encounter saw England’s World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan get the better of Trevor Bayliss – the world champions’ coach.
Morgan captained the Knight Riders, who made 163-5 off their 20 overs, before Bayliss’ Sunrisers levelled the scores.
Hyderabad made 2-2 in their super over after losing David Warner and Abdul Samad to Lockie Ferguson, before Morgan and Dinesh Karthik guided Kolkata home.
Kolkata remain fourth after their win and Hyderabad stay fifth.
The Knight Riders were without West Indies spinner Sunil Narine, who had previously been warned for his suspected bowling action.
The franchise have since appealed to the IPL’s suspect bowling action committee, and Narine has been cleared to continue bowling in the tournament.
