Newcastle Falcons have signed Scotland lock Jamie Hodgson on a one-year contract.
The second-rower, who has won five caps for his country – the last in 2022 – was unattached after leaving Edinburgh Rugby at the end of last season.
The 27-year-old spent part of the campaign on loan with Bristol Bears before his short-term deal was ended by a tricep injury after four games.
“It’s a great opportunity and I feel like the club is heading in a really positive direction, both on and off the field,” the 6ft 6in Hodgson told the Falcons website., external
