Sarah Storey took her tally of world titles to 40 with gold in the C5 road race at the Para-cycling Road World Championships in Estoril, Portugal.
The 43-year-old Brit, who has won world titles as both a cyclist and swimmer, said “it’s never something you can take for granted”.
Victory in the road race followed Thursday’s gold in the time trial.
Earlier, the pair of Sophie Unwin and pilot Jenny Holl won a dramatic gold in the women’s tandem road race.
The newly formed duo outsprinted their rivals, with time trial champions Lora Fachie and Corrine Hall finishing third, just behind their British team-mates.
But fellow time trial winners Steve Bate and Adam Duggleby failed to finish in the men’s race.
Unwin and Holl had won bronze medals in both of their races at the recent World Cup event in Ostend, Belgium – their maiden international event together – and were fourth in Thursday’s road race.
Elsewhere, Daphne Schrager claimed a bronze medal in the C3 road race in what was her first appearance at the World Championships.
In the men’s events, George Peasgood followed up his gold medal in Thursday’s time trial with C4 road race silver, while Fin Graham took bronze in the C3 event.
The competition concludes on Sunday, with Brits Alex Brooke-Turner and Luke Jones competing in the hand bike races
