Ireland’s Kellie Harrington won a gold medal in the lightweight 60kg division at the Tokyo Olympics European qualifier event in France.
Harrington beat Great Britain’s Caroline Dubois on a split decision.
The win will give number two seed and 2018 world champion Harrington a more favourable seeding for July’s Games.
Belfast featherweight Michaela Walsh had to settle for silver after losing to Italy’s Irma Testa on a unanimous verdict in her final on Tuesday.
All the judges scored the opening two rounds in Testa’s favour but number two seed Walsh recovered to impress some of the judges in round three.
The Monkstown Amateur Club boxer had already qualified for her first Olympics by winning her quarter-final on Sunday.
The two-time Commonwealth silver medallist and European Games silver medallist secured a split points decision over Bulgaria’s Stanimira Perova on Monday.
Harrington, a European Games silver medallist who is currently ranked world number six, will also be making her first appearance at an Olympics in Japan next month.
The Irish boxer had booked her place at the rescheduled Tokyo Games by winning her quarter-final on Sunday and followed that up with a unanimous points victory over Esra Yildiz of Turkey on Monday.
She defeated 20-year-old Londoner Dubois on a 4-1 decision on Tuesday.
