Britons Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski reached the US Open men’s doubles semi-finals with clinical wins in New York.
World number one Salisbury and American partner Rajeev Ram beat Monaco’s Hugo Nys and Poland’s Jan Zielinski 6-4 6-7 (3-7) 6-4 on Louis Armstrong Stadium.
Second seeds Skupski and Dutchman Wesley Koolhof then cruised to a 6-3 6-1 win over Brazil’s Marcelo Demoliner and Portugal’s Joao Sousa.
A third Briton could still join them, with Lloyd Glasspool yet to play.
He and Finnish partner Harri Heliovaara had their quarter-final against Colombians Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah postponed on Tuesday because of rain.
It was rearranged for Wednesday, with the winners facing defending champions Salisbury and Ram in the last four.
Top seeds Salisbury and Ram could have wrapped up their victory much sooner, having four match points on Zielinski’s serve at 5-4 in the second set.
The unseeded pair held out before taking the tie-break as the top seeds dropped a set for the first time this tournament.
But they broke with the first game of the decider and dug deep to reach the semi-finals of the tournament for a third consecutive year.
Skupski and Koolhof had an easier quarter-final, winning in one hour three minutes.
They face either third seeds Jean-Julien Rojer and Marcelo Arevalo of the Netherlands and El Salvador respectively, or Croatian pair Nikola Mektic and Mate Pavic in the final four.
