Thursday is day six of the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
Great Britain’s medal hopes Keely Hodgkinson and Georgia Hunter-Bell start their campaigns in the women’s 800m as the heats get under way.
Medals are on the line in men’s javelin, women’s triple jump and men’s and women’s 400m.
There are plenty of British names to look out for on the track.
Amber Anning competes in the 400m final, Daryll Neita, Amy Hunt and Dina Asher-Smith are in action in the women’s 200m semi-finals, and Jemma Reekie is a third British hopeful in the women’s 800m.
Ben Pattison and Max Burgin will go in the semi-finals of the men’s 800m, and Melissa Courtney-Bryant, Hannah Nuttall and Innes FitzGerald are in the women’s 5,000m heats.
Meanwhile, Morgan Lake starts her championships in the women’s high jump qualification.
