Electricity is all around us. We plug into it for almost everything we do. Yet we probably don’t give much thought to the people who made it possible. While Thomas Edison may be known as the man who invented the light bulb, it can be argued that Nikola Tesla is the one who turned it on.
Before the booming tech revolution of Silicon Valley, Tesla was one of the original tech superstars, and we owe much of our modern world today to his incredible brain. Scientists and engineers all over the world are still bringing Tesla’s inventions to life today.
So how did a man who should have been a billionaire, indelibly inked into history, end up dying penniless and forgotten?
