Aberdeen’s home match with Motherwell has become the second of Wednesday night’s Scottish Premiership games to be postponed because of travel disruption caused by Storm Gerrit.
Rangers’ meeting with Ross County was called off earlier, with the visitors unable to make the journey.
Sections of the A9, Scotland’s longest road, have been closed or at a standstill.
Aberdeen cited “potentially hazardous travelling conditions” for fans.
The Pittodrie club said the storm has left “significant flooding and damage to most of the major routes in and out of Aberdeen, with rail services all cancelled”.
Chief executive Alan Burrows said that while the stadium and pitch have coped “admirably well” after being battered with rain and gale-force winds, it became clear it would be a “very difficult ask for many supporters of both clubs to safely get to Pittodrie”.
He added: “We remained in dialogue with all stakeholders and after putting our case across to the league, it was agreed between the two clubs, the league and the Police that it was safest to rearrange the game.”
Ross County say the decision to postpone their game at Ibrox was made after consultation with Police Scotland.
A brief statement from the hosts read: “Rangers can confirm this evening’s Scottish Premiership fixture with Ross County has been postponed.
“Despite the Ibrox playing surface being in good condition and ready to host the match, adverse weather conditions on the A9 means our visitors have been unable to reach Glasgow.
“A new date for the fixture will be confirmed in due course.”
Rangers are five points behind leaders Celtic with two games in hand, while 10th-place County are a point above Motherwell, with Aberdeen occupying eighth.
All four clubs are due to play on Saturday, with Rangers visiting Celtic Park for the Old Firm derby.
Three of Wednesday’s five scheduled matches – including the Edinburgh derby – remain on.
